Orlando Bonzi & Yanice Tsang Bonzi
Italian-Paraguayan singing guitarist, composer and producer, with his special voice and unique way of playing has now become the new virtuoso guitarist with a deep musicality in Europe. He was recently awarded 2nd runner-up of Lee Ritenour Competition in guitar rhythm.
In 1999, after participating in numerous recordings that ranged from Latin-pop, Hard rock and Fusion, he recorded his first album Mi Inspiración, the song has achieved the top 10 in several radios and TV programs in Paraguay.
Brazil is the place that fueled his musical growth, about ten years of working there, he has played with some of the best Brazilian musicians such as Filó Marchado, Marcelo Mariano, Raúl de Souza and the great singer- songwriter Guilherme Rondon. His guitar and vocals recording on Guilherme's last album ‘Made in Pantanal’, was considered by many to be one of the most beautiful recordings of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB).
In 2013 he released an album ‘Recurso Natural’ in Brazil with iconic musicians such as Adriano Trindade (Seu Jorge)and the Bass legend Marcelo Mariano (Djavan,Ed Motta, Gal Costa, Romero Lubambo), Bruno Cardozo (Gal Costa, Hélio Delmiro, Nico Assunção) and Sergio Carvalho (Djavan). It is an analogy between divine love and nature, most of the songs were composed in the deep forest of Pantanal, Brazil.
In 2014 Orlando moved to Spain and recorded a collection of his new Jazz compositions and presented renowned musicians such as Gary Willis (Tribal Tech), Gergo Borlai, Jeff Ballard, Perico Sambeat, Toni Belenguer, Alberto Palau, Stephane Adsuar and Damien Varaillon. He named the project “Jazz del Sur” meaning Jazz from South, which is a mixture of Modern Jazz and Folk music from South America and Southern Europe. The album is now available on Spotify and iTunes, named ‘Orlando Bonzi’.
Yanice Tsang Bonzi
Versatile contemporary violinist as well as a composer, pianist, arranger, singer, and songwriter. Originally from Hong Kong where she received her classical music training since 4 years old, she graduated with a master degree in Contemporary Performance and Music Production (M.Mus) at Berklee College of Music under a scholarship.
As a violinist, she started her performing career as an extra player in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Her special singing voice on the violin has brought her to be featured in many live shows and recordings in the pop music scene, among the celebrated artists with whom she has worked includes Robin Gibbs, Laura Fygi, G.E.M., Paula Chui, Jenny Tseng, and the Chinese king of pop Jacky Cheung, who she toured with for almost two years being his solo violinist and performed in world-class venues such as Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and Air Canada Center in Toronto.
Over 15 years of professional experience, she has led her classical string quartet, jazz band, acoustic duo and string orchestra to perform at numerous major events, concerts and weddings . The brands she has collaborated include: BMW, Rolls Royce, Chanel, YSL, Dior, Frey Wille, HSBC etc. She also performed electric violin at the Hong Kong Government House for an art event, and represented Hong Kong to play with Polish electric violinist at World Trade Exhibition in Warsaw, Poland. Last year her Classical String Quartet under her group’'s name Symbiosis Strings was invited to perform for Prince Edward at the Queen's Birthday Party in Hong Kong, organised by The British Consulate-General.
